How many minutes should you practice each day
10–15 minutes of focused daily practice is the sweet spot for most learners. Shorter than that and you won't get into flow; longer than 25 minutes and fatigue causes accuracy to drop, which then reinforces the wrong muscle paths instead of the right ones.
| Stage | Daily time | Focus |
|---|---|---|
Week 1–2 (Beginner) | 10 min | Home-row drilling only, accuracy 95%+ |
Week 3–4 (Building) | 10–15 min | Add top & bottom rows, slow but accurate |
Month 2–3 (Pushing) | 15 min | Push speed on weak keys, daily 60s test |
Month 4+ (Maintain) | 10–20 min | Maintain speed, attack stubborn error patterns |
